How to install Unity Tweak Tool on Ubuntu 12.10 / 13.04 / 13.10

Unity Tweak Tool is an configuration software package developed for configuring Desktop applications. It makes easy to configure the system setting for different applications on the Ubuntu Desktop. Unity Tweak Tool is designed to aim the settings/configurations for all softwares using in the machine including compiz, Appearance and Desktop configurations.

By default it is available to install on ubuntu. But latest releases are not available always. By adding PPA's to your machine, you can able to install the latest version of it. Let see how to do this...

Installation :

Step 1 : Open Termianl by Accessories -> Terminal or CTRL+ALT+T

Step 2 : Add PPA to your system to install latest version...

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freyja-dev/unity-tweak-tool-daily

Step 3 : Now update software repository by

sudo apt-get update

Step 4 : Install the unity tweak tool by

sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool
