Xtreme Download Manager ( xdman ) from the name you can understand it is a Download Manager. Yes xdman is a download manager like a Internet Download Manager(IDM). In windows IDM perform great performance and every internet users love to use it to download files from the internet. Because it offers lot of features to users such as pausing and resuming the download packages etc.In the same way xdman is developed to give the featrues of IDM on Linux. Also it is free of cost and it is java based download manager. So works well in many platforms. I am using Ubuntu OS. Today i'm gonna to say about how to install and use xdman in ubuntu.

Lets follow the steps...
Step 1 : First Download the package. click below to download.
Step 3 : Right click on the Package and Extract it. Now you will get the extracted "xdman" folder.
Step 4 : Copy the extracted folder to "Home" folder.
Step 5 : Open the terminal by Accessories -> Terminal or CTRL+ALT+T and enter the following commands to setup the xdman.
The above command configures the package and runs the xdman. xdman appears like this now.
Step 6 : Its enough to install it. Also the plugin is available for browsers manage the downloads by integrating in it. To install the browser plugin, now enter the following url in your browser and install it.
Step 7 : Check to notification bar. The xdman will appear in it. You can manage the operation by simply calling from it.
Step 8 : If you close this, it will close the prompt and there is no links are created. So to create a link, first Right click on notification bar xdman icon and press exit to close it.
Go to home -> xdman folder and you will see an executable program called "Xtreme Download Manager" and click to run int.
Step 9 : Check the xdman App logo in Ubunt Side Pane and Right click on it and mark as " Lock to Launcher " option.
That's all. You are done.

Note : Don't delete/move the source folder of "xdman" from your home folder. If you do this, it will not work.
