Linux are the one of the free OS and based on this there are lot of softwares are released and published those as free. In the same way there is an application called  " Audacity " released specially for audio editing process. Audacity is a multi tracker audio editing free software. It is available for Linux/Unix, Windows and Mac operating Systems. This is simply the best free audio editing software there is, it offers the most functions and a wide range of effects. As long as you won't be doing any advanced mixing this program is wonderful for relatively simple sound recordings and editing, it supports very many formats and exports to almost anything.
